Job title: Cast Parts Production Technician

Job purpose

Fulfill cast parts orders for company as per work orders, ensuring quality and timeliness of tasks.

Production of cast parts production as per customer requirements and Company quotas
Be knowledgeable with the handling properties of materials used
Manufacture parts at the quality level required and assemble as per required
Report any non-compliance issues or concerns immediately to Cast Parts Lead Hand and/or Plant Manager
Follow Company safety procedures and escalate any health and safety issues to management including reporting of near miss situations
Be engaged with the company’s 5S, Lean and continuous improvement program
Ad-hoc duties as assigned by manager

Completion of Secondary school diploma
WHMIS knowledge
2+ years experience working in industrial production an asset
Forklift experience an asset
Understanding of working with welded materials for quality assembly
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, standing and carrying
Ability to self-motivate and organize priorities to ensure customer and Company needs are being met

Standard working hours are from 8:00-4:30 pm. Work outside of these hours may be necessary as per business requirements.

Successful candidate will receive training in the following areas relating specifically to Crosslink Technology

Company background, policies and procedures
WHMIS - procedures and documentation
ISO 9001 - policies and procedures
Production - policies and procedures, including business specific health and safety information
5S, Lean and continuous improvement methodologies
Internal Audit - policy and procedure
